Orange County-based hardcore titans Ignite have just announced their new self-titled album due 25th March via Century Media Record. They have also shared the first single and music video for track ‘The River’ that addresses the heavy subject matter of the toll felt by those who struggle with the US immigration system. Led by new lead vocalist Eli Santana (of Holy Grail fame), the band’s latest offering follows their ‘Anti-Complicity Anthem’ EP, released earlier this year.
Ignite comments about the lyrical themes on new single:
“‘The River’ takes a look at the dark and murky immigration issues that our country is facing at this very moment and the toll it is taking on children and their families,”
An emotional charged slice of rock that barrels across with frantic riffing and a cracking vocal performance that allows the important lyrics to be clearly heard. Driven along with some fantastic drumming and topped off with a nifty full band interlude and tasty soloing Ignite have set themselves up to be a very important band for the future.
