YINYANG is the moniker of Irish artist Lauren Hannan who has released her latest single ‘Happy Money‘. YINYANG evolved during lockdown in 2020 when Lauren taught herself how to produce music and cultivated her writing by working on it every day. Technology was a blessing during this enforced period of isolation and Lauren looked to free software including Garageband and iMovie to enable her to develop her sound.

Happy Money’ follows 5 previous singles. The wicked hip-hop, rap and electronic mix with lyrics which are as fierce as they are unapologetically honest and thought-provoking produce a track which immediately grabs attention. Throw in YINYANG’s obvious vocal talent and you are left in a whirlwind. And what does make you happy? That’s the key theme of this track. “Keep me happy, take my money”

‘Happy Money’ has already been chosen for the BBC Introducing Live Lounge, and had airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Ulster’s Introducing show, Across The Line.

By the way, the artwork for the 6 singles have been designed in such a way that you’ll soon be able to play them as a game. Every character has different strengths and weaknesses related to each song. Now that’s creativity and imagination.

YINYANG supported Enola Gay at their sold out Windmill Brixton tour dates earlier this year.
