Track: The Waeve (Graham Coxon & Rose Elinor Dougall) Share New Single ‘Kill Me Again’

The Waeve, is the new project of Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall. They have shared the new single ‘Kill Me Again’ which is the third track to be released from their debut album due 3rd February via Transgressive Records 

Graham Coxon and Rose Elinor Dougall comment that ‘Kill Me Again’ 

“explores the feeling of non being or the sensation of shape shifting during intense pleasure, the battle of light to exist within the universe as it becomes increasingly influenced by dark forces. It’s a celebration of sexual agency and the power generated by the physical merging of entities, the power that brings into being and how it will overcome evil….”

The blend of their two voices over the dark electronic beats works so well and we are gifted a track that sounds fresh. Its hypnotic steady thumb of the bass contrasts with the screaming sax and shimmering synths that create a mystic vibe that is echoed in the video and the psychedelic lyrics.

The Waeve started life after Graham and Rose met backstage at a London venue in late 2020. After exchanging playlists, they found they had plenty of common ground and musical kinships to explore. They began working on material and recording at Graham’s home studio in north London. The ten tracks on their debut album are the results of this intense collaboration, daring each other to write better and probe deeper.
