Los Angeles four piece The Rare Occasions are preparing for the release of their new album ‘Into the Shallows’ which drops on May 25th. Ahead of it, they’ve released a new track from the album ‘Physics’ and announced a string of US tour dates.
Physics is this twisting Arctic Monkey-ish indie rock affair, spewing out ideas, unexpected left turns and angular riffs that jump from here to who knows where at the drop of a hat, but still sound rather brilliant. It’s driven on by slashy guitars, this grinding synth sound and a slew of memorable hooks.
