For those who like their rock’n’roll a little scuzzy, a little dirty with a whiff of the sixties and a dash of reverb, The Blind Owls fit the bill perfectly. There’s a little Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds, a little The Cramps, a touch of The Gun Club and the Stray Cats – you get the picture.
Whatever it is, The Blind Owls have infused this heady cocktail and provided a dash of their own secret recipe to create their fantastic new single ‘There’s Something About That Girl’.
With a rockabilly swagger and a tonne of attitude, this is an extremely enjoyable and cathartic romp into a swampy southern stew:
Brilliant stuff. ‘There’s Something About That Girl’ is available from 29 May through all the normal download/streaming sites or directly through the band’s Bandcamp site here.
