Track: Tengger Cavalry – Symphony of Destruction

Its a sound that has recently sold out Carnegie Hall, and has been featured in many of the worlds prime tastemaker publications, Mongolian band Tengger Cavalry infuse heavy metal with their own asian tradition, including Mongolian fiddle Morin Khuur and other native instruments and traditional throat singing, to create something truly remarkable and individual.

Following the bands first US your, which took in an incredible 60 cities, the band are releasing a new wave of covers, which includes Metallica’s ‘Master of Puppets’ and Black Sabbath’s classic, ‘Paranoid’, as well as Arch Enemy’s ‘Nemesis’, and Motörhead’s ‘Fight’. The latest in the series is their version of Megadeth’s Symphony of Destruction, for which the band have released a video. It’s slightly weird, off kilter metal, but it somehow works, the strange sounds and singing style adding to the spite and eerieness of the original.
