Is it possible to do melancholy and good time indie pop? Yeah, course it is, just check out ‘Figure it out’ the new track taken from Manchester’s Sprinters self-titled debut album, which drops on May 5th on vinyl & digital platforms via Icecapades (Slowcoaches, Sex Hands, Joey Fourr etc..).
The brain child of Wigan born, Manchester residing songwriter Neil Jarvis, Sprinters have been together since 2015, after being recruited by Jarvis as initially his backing band, before morphing into a band in its own right. There’s a sunshine optimism to Figure it out, and the sort of chorus that gets the badge wearing c86 fans amongst us all excited in our knitwear and corduroy. It’s terrific stuff.
