Skäl have arrived with a bang, unleashing their raucous debut single ‘All of The People’ released via Snowdonia Records.
Setting of at lightning pass the track opens with a frantic sense of urgency. wobbling modulation guitar, driving drums and tight bass pulls the track forward to the Liam Gallagher-esque vocal delivery of the verse and the band flex their 90s influenced tone with a slight tinge psychedelia. Delivered with a confident swagger, the charismatic lead vocals guide the track as a purposeful direction through the frenetic guitar riffs to a an explosive crescendo.
Engineered, produced and mixed by Jono Tringham at Allo Sounds in Studio Widnes, the band call the track a “cross between The Verve and The Replacements”.
90’s infused indie-rock that skirts on the edge of post-punk with psychedelic moments, there’s a lot of potential from Skäl. Hailing from Winsford, Cheshire and a fresh signing to the North Wales-based Snowdonia Records, the band make a big impression with their debut.
