With a gentle nylon strummed acoustic guitar line that sets the scene, Sarah’s emotive, breathy vocals quickly enter, surrounding by a warming reverb. As the track grows, lo-fi, understated electronic drums enter, comparable to Ben Howard and John Martyn. Gradually growing through its haunting chorus the track also introduces a warming electronic bass which swells beneath the otherwise light and breezy soundscape.
Closing on a climactic final chorus that swells with glitching synths and electronics, the tracks understated yet nonetheless radiant sense of beauty and melancholy shines.
