Taken from his forthcoming new album ‘Home’, out on July 31st via Ninja Tune, Sunshine is the new single from Romare aka Archie Fairhurst, and is a follow up to his recent Gone / Danger 12”.
With inspiration taken from a move to the country, and settling down after a somewhat nomadic childhood, Home is a record that tackles identity and belonging “Identity and a sense of belonging is something I’ve been searching for more since becoming a father,” Archie explains, “growing up I was always around lots of people from different backgrounds, my own identity sometimes felt lost”.
Sunshine is very much a product of its own title, beats and 808 claps morph and grow out of these Summery wisps of synth melody until the bassline explodes out of it and it becomes a fully fledged dancefloor ready house track, snatches of vocal and wobbly bassline interacting with these gradually stinging melodies,
