Following the success of their previous single ‘Help Yourself,’ Robert Jon and the Wreck have shared their new track ‘Ballad of a Broken Hearted Man’ taken from their highly anticipated new studio album set for release later this year.
Produced by Kevin Shirley, (Aerosmith, Black Crowes, Iron Maiden) the track showcases Robert Jon & The Wreck’s musical expertise, taking listeners on a journey through a captivating narrative:
“With an intro that places you on the set of a classic western and a mesmerizing guitar riff that takes you right into the action, ‘Ballad of a Broken Hearted Man’ is a story of just that,” the band describes. “Two people down on their luck trying to figure it out together, but for some reason, they never do.”
Set alight by the smoking slide playing of Jon’s right hand man Henry James Schneekluth, the tracks bite comes from the whisky soaked vocals of Jon as he leads the band on this instant classic. A whisper of Americana is seeped into this finger twisting acoustic led ballad that is heavy with southern rock vibes. There is no limit to this bands songwriting talent crazy prolific yet the bar keeps getting raised.
