Made up of Simon Topping of A Certain Ratio fame and his son Rex (hence the name) Rex Simonson are a brand new post punk project who have shared their new single ‘Shimmer’.
Edgy driving bass joins with mysterious synths dripping with a cool, slick post punk vibe. Bright bursts of guitar break the surface adding a touch of colour to the black and white of the bass and drums. It’s not till the track has finished where you release you still have the track running around your head and a need to listen to it again.
