Red Telephone’s new single, “Delay The New Day,” is an engaging, slow-moving slice of scuffed-up indie rock with a notable nod towards the psychedelic. Guitars shimmer and chorus’ mesmerise as the track shuffles its way through, coaxing the listener along with it.

Following their acclaimed debut album “Hollowing Out,” this Cardiff-based quintet continue to explore their blend of melodic psych and darkwave, adding a cinematic touch to their sound. The track delves into themes of indulgence and hedonistic distraction, echoing the repetitive allure of nights out.

With comparisons to the Arctic Monkeys’ recent work – whilst keeping their own indie fingerprint on things “Delay The New Day” showcases Red Telephone’s songwriting and sets the stage for their upcoming sophomore album, set to release in October.
