Brighton post-punks Public Body have been garnering fans and gaining a reputation for themselves over the last 12 months, and after hearing their new single ‘Naughty on my Bike’, it’s easy to understand why.
Echoey, buzzing guitar riffs and angular melodies are the order of the day, as it drives ferociously along, edges and Sven slightly menacing but at the same time beautiful in a weird kind of way. That’s probably what we love most about it.
Of the track, Guitarist Theo Verney explains: “It’s a song dedicated to the humble bicycle. Naughty On My Bike openly criticises the public transport system as being over priced and sluggish. Walking, being the green option, is slower still. In cycling we find balance between speed and convenience.”
