Track: Psychedelic Porn Crumpets release the convivial fuzz of ‘Bubblegum Infinity’ ahead of album release and tour news.

It’s so invigorating to see Psychedelic Porn Crumpets transform their powerhouse status in an immense number of ways. Their music is equally as addictive as it is stupefying, and they prove that time and time again with their latest single ‘Bubblegum Infinity’, another single taken from their forthcoming fifth album ‘Night Gnomes’.

An auspicious intro teases the listener for that convivial fuzz that follows so elegantly, combining with songwriter Jack McEwan’s mesmerising melodies to create such an eclectic fusion of pop sensibility and noisy undercurrents. Buoyantly explaining the multilayered intentions of the song, McEwan comments:

It’s cheerful and good natured, it’s not trying to be something profound, more a statement of life at this time and by calling it ‘Bubblegum Infinity’, we’re showcasing that light-hearted vulnerability. So go easy on us, metal fans.

Personally, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets come across as one of the most interesting and diverse bands you can be lucky enough to witness in your lifetime. Their music continues to venture into curious territories, exploring and exposing the vast liabilities and oddities of the human condition. McEwan says:

I started reading a few quotes from philosophers because, hey! They might know what’s going on, but mostly it was a bunch of cleverly worded gibberish that was drenched in self turmoil that thankfully, serendipitously, unbeknownst to me was the thing I found comfort in. That nobody has a clue what life is and we’re all winging it as we go! Cheers, William of Ockham.

The impending album release will (hopefully) see the band return to the stage across several continents, where their luminously comprised discography can be expressed in the greatest way possible.
