Hailing from South London by the way of Yorkshire, comes psychedelic-funk tinged bedroom popster, Pet Grotesque. A busy chap, Pet Grotesque also combines time playing in Speedy Wunderground outfit Tiña as well as having been a Goat Girl’s touring keys player.
Despite the busy times, following up from the balearic banger ‘Scratch’ Pet Grotesque has dropped ‘Pingin Alone’, perfect for cruising down a neon light beamed strip, fully suited up and scouting out cocktail and karaoke bars.
Produced by PVA’s Josh Baxter, ‘Pingin’ Alone’ has a 70’s disco-twang that’s also reminiscent of The Growlers recent LP ‘Natural Affair and psych-pop crooner Ariel Pink. It’s a wonderfully polished ballad that’s worthy of your time.
