NZCA Lines are back with a new single, their first record in 4 years –
After the laidback sunny excess of the Infinite Summer album, the new sound seems more frenzied and chaotic – seems appropriate at the moment. After all, how do you go about following up a concept album that was about the end of the world?
NZCA Lines are a solo project for multi-instrumentalist Michael Lovett, who says of the new record, “It’s a sadistic joyride set in penthouse suites where the gold trim hides a rotting plywood facade, muscle cars are bought with credit cards and barbed wire fences separate luxury resorts from the slums beyond their walls. The fantasy of attainment in a world that has no future.”
Stream it here. The album is in the works, but there’s a proposed date for NZCA Lines biggest ever gig at Heaven on October 28th
