Noah Bouchard returns with the downtempo hip-hop swayer ‘Sometimes’.
Displaying a Loyal Carner-esque musical approach, ‘Sometimes’ brings together Bouchard’s ultra-chilled flow over a jazz infused backdrop of sway heavy beats and gentle, pillowy layers of piano and synth. At once emotive and also infectiously warming and groove driven, the single showcases a keen ability to craft rich, depthy musicality.
Noah shares, “I wrote this song to encapsulate the feeling of loneliness, isolation and longing for human connection at a time when it felt like real life was far away. With the music video, we wanted to create a character stuck in the monotonous grind of life while struggling to fit in with the world around him. I’ve always loved Pixar films so making a music video in that kind of style has been a really fun process!”
Accompanying the release is a visually inventive music video shot entirely on an iPhone, using emojis to cover his and other protagonists faces, capturing a charming, almost satirical take on modern relationships. Drawing inspiration from Pixar animation, the video depicts a narrative of fractured relationships and the yearning for reunion, culminating in a heartwarming resolution.
With an upcoming debut album, ‘Love Of My Life’, Noah Bouchard is set for a big year ahead.
