The lyrics are clever and wry – covering the anxieties and frustrations of coming out – if I were a boy would you like me better, would I get to meet your mother? Singer Grace Newton-Wordsworth’s vocals are absolutely divine with a mix of Dolores O’Riordan from The Cranberries, Sharon Van Etten and Phoebe Bridgers sailing across a jangling synth-edged instrumentation and a euphoric chorus that would wake the soulless and the dead:
