The new single from Brighton’s Naipia is a pure indie pop gem filled with yearning and emotion. ‘Lonely’ is undoubtably classic anthemic indie rock that is differentiated by its thoughtful structure and inherent stadium-filling presence.
Celestial choruses, melodies, thoughtful lyrics and driving guitars all combine to make this a fantastic debut.
The accompanying video captures the joy of a local British pub and live gigs:
The band’s name is a nod to singer/songwriter George Dewhurst’s sojourn in Napier, New Zealand which inspired him to form Naipia along with with drummer Matt Leppenwell and bassist Harry Dewhurst.
Out now through Golden Robot Records, you can download/stream the single here.
