Hull’s My Pleasure, aka Lewis Young recently released his debut album ‘Domestic Bliss’ via the Adult Teeth label, and it includes tales of namedroppers, beauty contests, plagiarism, facial tattoos, identity, waking up, strawberries, the alphabet, internet trolls and domesticity, all wrapped up in his style which he describes as ‘almost pop’.
He’s just released the third single from the album, Namedropper, and it’s a little slice of wry indie pop, smirking at and keenly observing ordinary life (here he comes, he’s that guy who never started a sentence that doesn’t begin with I) and wrapped it up in this scratchy but melodic pop.
