North East’s Motions are set to release their self titled debut album on the 28th of April. In anticipation, the band have shared the video for a new single ‘Six 100’
The band state:
“Melodic metal, with an ambient, ethereal, atmospheric edge. Our self-titled album experiments with a range of instruments including strings, keys, synths to create a layered, textured sound threads through its centre. The album takes the listener on an emotional journey…
…The angst-driven lyrics are inspired a lot by the work our frontman Jonny did in safeguarding and addiction, supporting struggling families and people suffering abuse, neglect and trauma.”
A monster from the outset, the thunderous track pounds into life as the heavy drum/bass combo and driving screams clash with the melodic chorus and gritty guitars. It’s a dark apocalyptic soundscape with only the choruses showing any glimpse of light and safety.
