It’s a busy time for Mark Lanegan. His memoir ‘Sing backwards and weep’ is out in May, he’s launched a new web-streaming platform ‘The Vault’ which details basically all of his back catalogue, and his new album ‘Straight songs of Sorrow’ is also out, on May 8th via Heavenly Recordings,
From it he’s revealed a new track, Bleed all over. It’s different, but the same. Upbeat, with finger clicks and descending synth-lines, as well as (almost at least) a singalong chorus, it’s A damn cheerful song for the subject matter it covered – basically desolation and rejection. If nothing else, you can sit down, make yourself comfortable and luxuriate in that voice.
