Track: lutruwita/Tasmania’s エミエミ (emi emi) releases a golden ray of sunshine with new single ‘tabero’

Rough winds may shake the darling buds of September and biblical floods may invade the hinterlands, but the dulcet sounds of Japaneser/Australian artist エミエミ (emi emi) emanate a golden ray of unfiltered sunshine across the southern isle of Tasmanian. Her new single ‘Tabero’ is another example of her unique electronic sounds and day-glo delivery that positively sparkles and skips with a delightful bounce.

The music is redolent of fellow compatriots Confidence Man and yet emi emi’s vocals adds another dimension – a little bit of J-Pop insouciance and just a hint of yearning. It’s so infectious it should come with a government health warning. emi emi says:

This song is for fun and for dancing and for enjoying over a bowl of instant ramen.

It is indeed a blast of unadulterated joy that warms the heart when all else outside is bleak and Antarctic:

All is well in the world when we get music as joyous as this. You can download and stream ‘tabero’ here.
