London-based indie rockers The Great Leslie have announced their highly anticipated new EP, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat, along with the release of their latest single, ‘No Future’—an anthemic, high-octane offering showcasing the band’s ability to craft tracks which capture their rock tendencies whilst bringing a radiant accessibility.
Produced by Paul Pritchard at Abbey Road Studios (whose credits include work with Noel Gallagher, Nothing but Thieves, and The Vaccines), the single delivers a raw, energetic punch, underscoring the band’s commitment to capturing the frustration and disillusionment felt by today’s youth. ‘No Future’ crackles with electricity, driven by propulsive drumming, distorted yet vibrant guitars, and an infectious bassline that mirrors the intensity of the band’s live performances. Frontman Ollie Trevers’ urgent vocals soar throughout the song, cutting through the indie-rock layers with biting melodies that spill into an unforgettable chorus. The track effortlessly marries indie-rock grit with alt-pop polish, creating a sound that’s as anthemic as it is radio-friendly.
Lyrically, ‘No Future’ taps into a collective disillusionment with modern society, offering a voice to a generation grappling with limited opportunities, rising costs, and a sense of uncertainty. On the theme of the track and the broader scope of the EP, the band commented:
“’No Future’ is designed to speak to young people, addressing their struggles in a world that seems to offer minimal prospects. The EP, Repeat, Repeat, Repeat, reflects our desire to use our music to explore the social issues facing people today.”
Since their formation in 2020, The Great Leslie has carved out a reputation for their energetic live shows and infectious studio output. Their collaboration with Bloc Party’s Russell Lissack on the EP Heavy Unsteady set the stage for their rise, leading to support slots for Franz Ferdinand and performances at festivals across the UK and Europe.
