Out on 8th May is the new album from Lettuce, following on from last years Elevate album that we liked an awful lot here at Backseat Mafia, and ahead of that they’ve released a new single, House of Lett.
Of the track, bassist Erick ‘Jesus’ Coomes says “some of us like to freak outwith our beaks out, take off our shoes and get lost in the music until we enter another dimension. So, we made this song in honour of all the ravers, dancers, DJ’s, party-going sandy-feet-dancingdesert dwellers, house loving people of all ethnicities, walks of life and ages…and mainly, mainly, mainly for the LOVE. Peace Love Unity and Respect.”
It’s a bubbling funk workout, complete with spacey synths, and wobbling extending riffs, while there’s significant interjections from Trumpet and horns. It jets off to some interplanetary world after a brief pause, taking us all, willingly, with it.
