Rock powerhouse Lectric has shared their debut single, ‘Take Your Shot’. It is an anthem of self-truth and breaking free from deceitful lies. Embrace the opportunities in front of you and seize the day. It’s never too late.
The band state:
“In the early months of 2022, Josh and Jake collaborated with Mikey from Skindred at Brighton Electric. It was there amongst the rehearsal rooms and recording studio that ‘Take Your Shot’ was born – a song that has since become a personal anthem about seizing the day. ‘Take Your Shot’ became a rallying cry, not only for us but for anyone who has stood at the crossroads of hesitation. The video’s narrative mirrors the challenges we all face – the battle against time, the internal conflict of self-doubt, and the unrelenting pursuit of dreams. So, in the spirit of the song’s title, let this be a reminder to take your shot – because there is no better time than now.”
The track is accompanied by an outstanding video of which the band comments:
“The video just fell together… About two years ago I pulled myself together and decided for the rest of my life I would be strong and fit. I joined the local boxing club, which had a reputation for extreme fitness and haven’t looked back. When you do hard rounds with people, ironically, you can sometimes make friends.”
“I noticed Kris Barras who’s been kicking ass in the rock scene lately used to be a pro fighter and I really dig his bands vibe, after a bit of research I realised he does music videos on the side and managed to get his attention to work together. As soon as I mentioned the song and the boxing club, I knew the video would come together. We did well, though, as we basically rearranged the whole boxing club and the week before, the head coach told someone off for moving a chair! “
With a riff that chugs like a freight train, charging drums and some powerful vocals, the band have produced a track of tight rock n roll brilliance. An explosive chorus and fretboard-melting guitar work is the icing on the cake.
