Perennial favourites here at Backseat Mafia, the inimitable Sunshine Coast band Betty Taylor have hit the soundwaves with their glorious new single ‘Young Dumb Immature’. Shimmering like hot sunshine on black bitumen and sparkling like the ocean, the track features soaring choruses and a driving beat that quickens the pulse.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind Young Dumb Immature,’ Sophie from the band says: 

This song was written from personal experience, a direct message to someone I couldn’t confront face-to-face. It’s about embracing who I am and standing up for myself and my friends, despite negative judgments.

The result is some heady dream pop rays of sunshine:

Betty Taylor will be undertaking major headline and support tours across Australia in the second half of 2024, along with a UK/EU/IRE tour with The Grogans and a stop in the US before the summer festival season in Australia..
