Jack Howard shines on the soulful, jazz influenced new single ‘Another Day’.
Built around shuffling rhythms, intricate finger picked guitar, deep bass and swirling synths, Jack creates a sense of serenity and an infectious groove which his vocals glide above, delivering subtle yet nonetheless infectious melodies. As the track reaches its latter section, an anthemic repeated vocal line enters before a dreamy, fuzzy guitar line pulls the track towards its close.
Speaking about the track Jack shares: “Another Day is about hope. This song is about someone I love overcoming addiction. When I was younger sometimes all I needed was hope that the sun would come up and a new day would begin. Even now I still wake up extra early so I can sit in the silence of day break. When I wrote this song I needed to be hopeful that it was all going to be okay. I hope this song gives you a little bit of me!”
Otherworldly, commercial and accessible yet warmingly soulful and alternative, ‘Another Day’ is a brilliant addition to Howard’s glittering catalogue.
