Track: Immi Dash Shines On Melancholic New Single ‘Don’t Cry Yet’

Alt-R&B rising star Immi Dash shines on radiant new track ‘Don’t Cry Yet’. Embracing heart-wrenching string arrangements that bounce between flowing harmonies and choppy samples, the track employs smoky production across mystifying percussive shimmers, rhythmic R&B drums, and warm sub-bass swells.

True to form, Immi’s vocals are an elegant, glittering and compellingly emotive central pin, pouring an alluring romanticism and heartfelt depth, as strings and synth led backing dance around the soundscape. Building the tracks arrangement into a celestial choir, the tracks commercial melody floats into a sea of layered string s to close out the track in a cinematic flourish.

“‘Don’t Cry Yet’ is about recognizing that you can lose yourself within a relationship,” Immi shares, continuing, “I wrote it with Alba Arias who also produced the track. We just had an honest conversation about what was going on in my life and came out with this. The whole process was really rewarding and reflective. I hope I can offer a perspective that people can connect with.”

Though she originally hails from Stroud, Gloucestershire, Immi’s career has seen the artist make Liverpool her base, crafting her atmospheric emotions to acclaim across music press. The singer-songwriter has performed at Mahalia Presents: Bristol, supported Slum Village on their UK tour, and showcased at Rotterdam’s New Skool Rules Festival, quickly emerging as an exciting talent, supported by BBC Introducing and Reflector Magazine’s ‘Ones to Watch’ list.

With .Don’t Cry Yet’, Immi Dash continues to solidify her place in the Alt-R&B scene, offering a poignant blend of heartfelt lyricism and sophisticated production.
