Danish Rock quartet H.E.R.O have shared their new track ‘Lead The Blind’ which sees them team up with Philip Strand, lead singer of Swedish rock heavyweights ‘Normandie’. The track is taken from the bands forthcoming album ‘Alternate Realities’ which is due 18th March via Mermaid Records.
H.E.R.O front man, Christoffer Stjerne’s elaborates:
“I come from a religious family, and as I broke away from the religious environment, a series of confrontations with my whole family started. The record is in no way about religion, but about the trauma and let-downs, I experienced, when I had to cut off all contact with my family. ‘Lead The Blind’ is about seeing oneself in a new light, trying to navigate in a new reality, in which you have never existed before. The title is – without us thinking about it initially – a bible quote, which turned out to be strikingly fitting for my situation.”
Pop vocals over emotive synths and crushing guitars gives an epic track with personal lyrics. Its Strand’s and Stjerne’s vocals that steal the show though. Strand’s deeper vocals on the verses before Stjerne’s lets loose with his falsetto on the chorus taking the track on to new heights. A perfect partnership for this track.
