Today Ghostpoet is pleased to share new track “Nowhere To Hide Now”, which is taken from his new album – ‘I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep’, that will be released through Play It Again Sam on May 1st, 2020.
Demented piano and scratchy guitars give this track a tense feel perfect for Obaro Ejimiwe’s jagged storytelling, fueled by fear, exhaustion and anger. Written, arranged and produced the song is delivered in Ejimiwe’s unique street poetry style.
The lyrics have a pleasing rhythmic flow “Girl, let’s waste the time, bombs are goin’ on. Bodies in the streets, panic in the pipes. Screaming fills the air, it’s going down tonight ….. You walk the dark streets alone, I stick to shadows forever”
I Grow Tired But Dare Not Fall Asleep is his follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed record ‘Dark Days + Canapés’ and a welcome return for the one man machine.
