Track: FLEAS Share Grinding new single ‘BLEED’

Suffolk-based alternative-hardcore band FLEAS make a thunderous return with their latest single, ‘BLEED’, an intense and explosive preview of their upcoming debut album, Imagine If There Was More.

Showcasing their signature fusion of punk, rock, and metal, the track showcases the essence of the band’s raucous live shows with a polished studio flare. ‘BLEED’ opens with a filtered, boxy riff that simmers with tension, setting the stage for an urgent vocal that pulls listeners into the track’s explosive main riff. The pounding drums and overdriven guitars form tightly locked rhythms, while metal-inspired riffs propel the song forward with punk’s ferocious energy. The result is a blistering, high-intensity soundscape.

The dark and heavy feel of BLEED is amplified by the barked, visceral lead vocals, which shift between spoken word and screamo. This dynamic vocal delivery builds toward a powerful, anthemic chorus that strikes a balance between chaos and catharsis. The lyrics are raw and repeatable, creating a memorable emotional impact.

Discussing the track, the band shared, “BLEED was actually the first track we wrote for the album. Pedro and Jason came up with it in Pedro’s bedroom during the summer of 2023. It was such a departure from our previous sound that it basically inspired the rest of the album. BLEED is definitely one of our favourites.”

The upcoming album, Imagine If There Was More, explores a range of themes including mental health, the current social climate, and personal relationships. Recorded largely in bedrooms and rehearsal spaces, the album was produced by Suffolk-based Alec Jarman, whose work was instrumental in capturing the band’s vision.

Listen to the new single and keep n eye out for the upcoming album, due February 28th.
