Up and coming indie rockers Exiled have released their latest single, “Lita’s Place”.
The band, all of whom are still students with roots in Bristol and Sheffield, have recently been tipped by BBC Introducing in Sheffield and compared to Circa Waves and Catfish and the Bottlemen. The influence of both of these can clearly be heard in “Lita’s Place”; particularly, the guitar sounds in the verses and the main refrain of the chorus. They certainly live up to being compared to such established names though; you could slot “Lita’s Place” into the playlist for tonight at The Leadmill and it wouldn’t sound out of place at all. It’s got the feel of an anthem by an established band to it, and should make an impact on this summer’s festival seasons/next year’s Sky Premier League preview compilation videos.
Exiled are appearing at The Great Escape festival in Brighton this weekend, and I for one would certainly look out for them if I was there.
