Track: E. Scott Lindner – 21

Although his album ‘In Flowers Through Space’ is out today via Ropeadope, we’re focusing on 21, the last single to be released prior to E. Scott Lindner’s new album. Using the studio (well, and his guitar playing) as his instrument of choice, the whole album is based around the concept Fibonacci sequence of numbers—a spiraling mathematical formula which is seen in flower petals throughout the natural world and has historically been associated with beauty.

21 is this gently swaying, spiralling quasi soul-jazz / modern classical cut, moving fluidly through keys and across beats, with instrumental solos here and there, and the whole thing richly scored and with choral / italio-soundtrack vocals sprawling all over it.
