Drott who are comprised of Arve Isdal (Enslaved), Ivar Thormodsæter (Ulver) and Matias Monsen have shared the new video for 2nd single ‘Arch Of Gloom’ taken from their debut album ‘Orcus’ which is set for release on 24th September via By Norse.
The band comments on ‘Arch of Gloom’:
“At the end of a dark and bouncy road lies the Arch of Gloom. Through persistent bass and drums, Arch of Gloom is driven to the point of desperate collapse by a haunting guitar solo. Mesmerizing in its mystical attraction, it hypnotizes desperate souls into a surrealistic dance before they are lured down the abyss to face the verdict of Orcus.”
Despite the title this is a more nerve friendly track than their previous single The Marauders. Slick bass, chilled drumming and the twang of clean guitar gives this rack a cool cinematic vibe. Theres a hint of jazz and hint of surf rock guitar all wrapped up in a soundtrack style compostion.
