Track: Die Ego – Anywhere We Are Going

Gabe Scapigliati (Vocals and Bass)and Diego Fardel (Lead Guitar) of Die Ego have crafted something new with their new track ‘Anywhere We Are Going’. Normally drawing influences from metal and hard rock icons such as Metallica, Pantera, Alice in Chains, and Slipknot, the band have a distinctive edge and styling which partially stems from their roots. Dedicated to pushing the boundaries, this acoustic-based track is a complete break from their norm, ideally showcasing the band’s guile, strong musicianship, and undeniable ability to produce a massively alluring and intensively inviting song.

Diego remarks:

“We are currently without a full-time drummer, so we took this time to explore a different side of the band. With our previous albums we introduced a few acoustic guitars but never wrote an entire acoustic song with clean vocals. This was a new challenge for us and moved us out of our comfort zone”. Diego goes to comment: “We cut the track with our long-time friend and esteemed producer, Alessio Garavello, at Rogue Studios in London. The recording session was a unique experience and hearing it coming together felt magical. We feel we’ve achieved something special and are so happy with it.”

The boys have crafted a slow slice of dark flamenco that sounds as if they are communicating with spirits around a campfire; such is the hypnotic, almost prayer-like vibe. Scapigliati’s brooding vocals help to enforce this, as Fardel leaves us spellbound weaving his fretboard magic.
