Darcie Haven has just released her latest track, ‘Pheromones’. Haven has spoken about how the new song, which was produced by Aidan Hogg (G Flip, Hatchie, Eves Karydas) was conceived.
“I wrote this track about a situation I had been trying to put words around for ages. It was a confusing, weird relationship that brought out emotions I could never make sense of, until this song quite literally poured out of me late one night. It came together faster than any other song I’ve written. Since that night, it’s been so special to me, and playing it has been the most cathartic experience. I’m beyond excited to share it, and hopefully give that same experience to people who have felt something similar.”

‘Pheromones’ is an irresistible slide of indie-pop, featuring a some fuzzy guitar work that complements the synth-based core of the song. Haven’s vocals are ethereal and beguiling – it is easy to understand the deluge of praise that has greeted the emergence of this young, rising star.
“One song in, Darcie Haven’s proven why she’s an indie-pop star in the making.”
