Corey Taylor has announced that his hotly anticipated debut solo album, CMFT, arrives on 2nd October via Roadrunner Records. Today, the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman has shared the album’s first two singles: ‘Black Eyes Blue’ and ‘CMFT Must Be Stopped’ [feat. Tech N9ne & Kid Bookie] which are available now on all streaming platforms.
We all know this guy has one of the best voices in rock, if not, then Black Eyes Blue will put that right. A solid rock track that should only be played loud. climatic chorus and chugging guitars give Taylor the base to open those vocal chords.
Second single kicks off like The Arrows ‘I love Rock and Roll’ with the captivating guitar riff. The track comes across as a challenge as we hear Taylor delve into rap style vocals in this track thats more epic force of nature than rock song. A manifesto for where he is right now and shows what happens when you combine hard work and talent. Just can’t do no wrong. You do get a sense that there isn’t anything Taylor can’t turn his hand too.
