Charly Bliss have shared their new track, ‘Calling You Out,’ taken from their recently announced forthcoming album, ‘Forever,’ due on the 16th of August via Lucky Number. The song comes with a video directed by Adam Kolodny and inspired by the Beastie Boys ‘Shake Your Rump’ music video from 1989 and Wong Kar-wai’s 1995 film Fallen Angels.
Singer Eva Hendricks explains:
“Falling in love with someone wonderful, I didn’t know how to not fall into the same bullshit that was part of all my previous relationships – namely jealousy. I wasted a lot of time at the beginning trying to poke holes, to see if it was all for real. I think I was trying to protect myself, I’ll find the catch before the catch finds me! But there was no catch,”
Bright, sparkly synth-indulgent pop, superb vocals, staggering bass, multi-faceted guitar lines and a euphoric groove. Here is your new favourite band delivering grunged-up pop that is so damn good I kind of want to keep them all to myself. But the world needs bands like Charly Bliss.
