Rising American roots rock star Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast, (the broadcast being Aaron Austin on guitar, Michael W. Davis on drums, William Seymour on bass and Tyler Housholder adding some percussion), have shared a video for their smooth new single ‘Operator’. The new single dovetails the bands upcoming UK tour this September supporting Robert Jon & The Wreck (see tour dates listed below).
“Operator” is a retro throwback track reminiscent of the soul and rock heard in the 1960’s with modern production and an infectious chant-like chorus. The song tells the story of a woman who finds her partner has been hiding another relationship across town, then calls the operator to connect with her partner’s other victim to join forces for revenge.
Operator is brassy swaggering track of seductive vocal lines layed over a soulful rock backing from fore mentioned Broadcast. A nod to guitarist Austin for some well placed tasty guitar licks as Krisko whips up a storm on the choruses, amplified by the rest of the band joining in to deliver some smooth grooves.
