DIIV, those purveyors of fine shoegaze since 2011, have graced us with a new track that feels like a hazy daydream wrapped in a sugar-coated melancholy. Their latest single, released ahead of the upcoming album “Frog in Boiling Water,” is a swirling concoction of understated vocals, noisey guitars that weave in and out and fray the tracks edges, and melodies that sweep you up in a sugared embrace.

Andrew Bailey, Colin Caulfield, Ben Newman, and Zachary Cole Smith have been making waves with their recent ventures—from quirky collaborations (yes, that Fred Durst video!) to packing out venues across the UK and EU. The band’s new track, surfacing from the enigmatic depths of new website FIBW.org (formerly Soul-net.co), is a testament to their ability to blend chaos and clarity into something beautifully disorienting.

Go on, dive into DIIV’s ethereal bittersweet world. The album is out on any 24th via Fantasy – in the meantime, check out the track, here
