Leeds psych-grunge three piece Brooders have shared the first track from their upcoming 7″ release in the form of ‘Lie’. The bands Adam Bairstow says of the track “Lie has been a work in progress for a long time, it’s a culmination of the stresses and pressures that come with love, loss and paranoia all rolled into one brutally honest, twisted, chaotic track.”
It’s muscular right from the off, but makes space for the vocals that flow over this psych heavy guitar line, whilst the chorus shifts into slacker rock mode, albeit with a wall of guitar sound underneath, and this singalong chorus that sounds like its going to go big on the live shows. If that wasn’t enough, then the whole thing grinds to a halt before building back up via huge riffs to a gigantic conclusion.

Brooders will be joined on the release by 12-piece avant-jazz punks Mansion of Snakes, out on CPWM singles club.
