Nottingham trio Attraktors have dropped new single Future Systems along with the announcement of their debut album – ‘Attraktors’ via Vivod Records. As former members of Julian Cope’s band, Six By Seven, Bivouac, The Selector and The Nectarine No. 9 the trio have joined together to make low-fi homemade minimalist Krautrock influenced proto-punk.
‘Future Systems’ has its feet firmly planted in the early 80s electronic experimentation of the likes of Eno, Numan and Tim Blake. But its head very much in the future. With effect tinged vocals that sound cold and sparse production the track feels spacey and futuristic, yet familiar. It obviously relies heavily on electronic instruments but there are hints of live drums and bass in the mix.
Do not miss this if you are in anyway a fan of 80s bedroom electronica, sci-fi film soundtracks and all things krautrock.
