Australian singer/songwriter Amaya Laucirica today releases the exquisite dreamy dream pop track ‘Now Or Never’ that seems to float through the air like a silken veil. Elements have a Gallic sixties flavour like something from Francoise Hardy or Jane Birkin with the wistful delicacy of the delivery and the gentle melodic flow.
The instrumentation sparkles with an acoustic blush, a deep rich crystalline production that is orchestral and majestic, with James Cecil on drum programming, synth bass, acoustic guitars, and keyboards, Andrew Keese’s arranged strings and Giles Fielke’s bass and piano.
According to Laucirica:
This song is about embracing fear and moving forward—it’s now or never! There are hardships in relationships and in music, but when there is belief and love in what you’re doing and what you’re building together, it’s worth it. You try to encourage each other to do your best.
It’s a positive, romantic message delivered in a style that is drenched with a certain bittersweet melancholy that is delicious.
The track comes with a perfomance piece that is sweet and evocative, produced by the telented Geoffrey O’Connor, a multi talented artist in his own right:
‘Now Or Never’ is a luscious pop song and it is out now and available to download and stream here. It is the first single from forthcoming album ‘The Blue Hour’, out 5 August 2025.
Laucirica will play a show this March as part of Great Southern Nights, in Sydney on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at The Vanguard, NSW. Tickets are available now here. Additionally, you can catch her in an free performance at The Retreat Hotel in Brunswick, Australia, on March 30, 2025.
