The latest release from The Limiñanas, dimanche features Bertrand Belin whose spoken word vocals seductively swagger over the swirling echoing beats, reminiscent of tracks by unkle and death in Vegas the songs repetitive beats lure the listener into their warm embrace, quintessentially french and effortlessly cool. Within the album this track sits perfectly alongside more yé-yé, pysch, shoe gaze tracks, it’s gritter and edgier more akin to nick cave and serge gainsbourg. It’s a French punk dirt dance box of distortion and sweeping lyrics.
