We wrote recently that Jacob Fitzgerald‘s single ‘Pretty Good For My Mind’ fizzes like a shaken bottle of carbonated pop opened while trampolining, with a quite sprightly bounce and a style of its own. It is a track that is infectious with no vaccination needed (although, please, get one anyway).
Fitzgerald has now released a video to go with the track and it an absolutely heartwarming delight, matching the effervescent tones of the song with an eighties day-glo tinged rom com tale interposed with an enigmatic performance by Fitzgerald and his band. The whole production just emanates joy (and memories of high school dance disasters, fights and romances). Directed by Cameron Mitchell and produced by Onehouse Story Company, the video is an ode to Fitzgerald’s parent’s origin story, detailing the night they met.
It simply glows with positivity and humour:
‘Pretty Good For My Mind’ is pretty, pretty good and the video superb. Out through UNIFIED Music Group, you can download/stream the single here.
