Having released their debut EP ‘Face The Rain’ back in 2022 (read our review here), the Yorkshire blues rockers have shared an extended live version of the track ‘Solace’ taken from the E.P. This version includes additions to the arrangement including Cello and Flute.
Lead singer Georgy Eaton comments:
“We filmed and recorded this live in Pealie’s Barn in North Yorkshire. ‘Solace’ is about only ever feeling at home when you’re with that specific person. You can be going through an absolute whirlwind of a time mentally, physically, spiritually but that person always makes you smile a little inside and helps you through it.”
With a wider sonic output, the track is a slow burner that shines with moments of magic from Georgy’s powerful raspy screams and Jack’s loose guitar playing. Dipping in and out changing the track’s dynamics with his soft chords on the verse then digging deep on the chorus adding a harder edge. The band bring it on the choruses following the striking guitar and then really bring it home on the whirling scream fest of the breakdown.
