Boston-based alternative rock trio PVRIS have teamed up with Nylon for the premiere of their new haunting video for White Noise. Directed by Raul Gonzo, the concept behind the video paid homage to Steven Spielberg’s 1982 classic Poltergeist.
“I originally wrote the song with a bit of inspiration from the movie,” says PVRIS lead vocalist Lynn Gunn. “So when coming up with video concept ideas Raul and I both agreed we had to make it a little homage to Poltergeist. And fun fact: there’s a picture of me from the second grade hidden somewhere in the video.”
White Noise is the title track from their debut record which was released back in 2014 via Rise Records. Rounded out by Bassist Brian MacDonald and Guitarist Alex Babinski, the band have spent the last several months touring in support of bands like Mayday Parade, Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens. The trio already have star-studded stamps of approval from Paramore’s Hayley Williams and actress Chole Moretz and they’re headed to the UK next month in support of Lower Than Atlantis.
