Boston based alt-rock trio have reunited with Raul Gonzo, who directed their recent video for White Noise, to put together this solely black and white and eerily artistic video for Holy.
“‘Holy is one of the most personal and honest songs on the record,” PVRIS lead singer Lynn Gunn told Billboard.com “Lyrically, it’s pretty self-explanatory once you listen.”
This video is both fantastically layered and highly contrasted whilst simultaneously creating blurred and stretched un-human like stances to make for a creepy visual effect.
“It’s pretty hard to see, but there’s one shot in the video of me shirtless that overlaps with the one of me clothed throughout,” Gunn says. “I was a little nervous while shooting this shot, so Brian [McDonald — PVRIS bassist] took his shirt off and stood next to the camera to make me feel comfortable.”
The band are currently on Warped Tour all summer long but will be back in the UK next month for the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
